Auxiliary Committee

The Dayspring & District Fire Department Auxiliary was formed nearly 60 years ago to assist the firefighters.

Our initial role was to support them financially, by raising money to purchase firefighting equipment or fund the upkeep of the hall. We also provide refreshments when needed at emergency scenes, or at meetings and training sessions.

Recently, the Auxiliary has become a committee of the fire
department, and its role has expanded. In addition to supporting our flrefighters In the aforementioned manner, our duties now include helping with the community breakfasts, fundraising events and organizing a community children’s Christmas party.

Additionally, we offer a variety of support services to families
within our fire department’s district.

Membership in the Auxiliary Committee is open to anyone, male or female, who wishes to join and become part of the fire department family. Anyone interested in joining can contact us here.
